How to translate KHBBS FM and KH Re: Chain of memories ?

Hi, I'm new here and I saw your italian patch about KH BBS FM and KH Re: Chain of memories and I wonder if you'll be able to help me to understand how to translate them into my native language (which is French).
I've seen the " How to translate Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep " thread (I think it's the same way to translate BBS FM) but can I take the English patch of BBS FM to make a French translation or I have to use the original version of the game ?
About Re: Chain of Memories, we (in France) don't have a localized game, that's why I would like to translate it.

Don't worry, I'll help you with Kingdom Hearts Re Chain Of Memories.
Do you have a msn account? Cause it will be easier to chat with you.
Besides, if you want to translate KHBBSFM, too, then I think you can't use the English
patch and modify it as you wish without the approval of TruthKey.
The scheme is really simple, you don't need to have "particular acquaintances".
Everything you need are:

- LOOOOOOOOOTS of time
- LOOOOOOADS of patience xD

One of KHRECOM main problems is that you can't use stressed letters such as è, ò, à, ù and so on...
It is linked to the strange compression that the game uses...
Until now no one has been able to help us with it.
Though... the only stressed letter you can use is é, cause it is used in "Naminé".
Graphics are a problem too... there are some uncompressed images like PAUSE and someone else that is compressed.
The story, itself, is really easy to change.
Do you know anything about pointers? I'll teach you about 'em if you don't. ^_^
They are useful whenever you don't have enough space to type in your sentence.

Do you have other experiences in romhacking?

About pointers I know nothing but I have a document that explain this (it's for nes game but I think it's the same way about another game) and I don't have many experience in romhacking cause I was not able to have the PC and I forget that part .

But now I really want to try this and if possible translate these two games.

I think that you can delete that document that deals with nes pointers, it's completely different and, in my opinion, it is useless.
When you'll be logged in msn, I'll teach you about them with examples and sample files.
I know everything about story related pointers, but I barely know something about graphics and so on...

I think we should share our log in hours on msn for better organisation.
In this period of the year I can be connected every Wednesday and week-ends.
I can also connect a bit in the evening during the week, let's say around 8h00 p.m to 1h00 a.m (in France).
